Our Story
Who are we
Hi, I’m Danielle, I run Senoa wellness and I’m passionate about meditation and anything that contributes to one’s overall wellness.
I used to struggle in dealing with stress in my life, whether it was work, household tasks, difficult interpersonal situations or a combination of all of them and would turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms to forget about or ignore the things that were causing me stress.
I decided I was ready for a change and wanted healthier ways to deal with stress and meditation was one of them. I’ve found meditation to be a key tool in helping me better cope with day-to-day life and its stressors and believe it’s had a massive contribution to a calmer, more patient and happier me. Those around me have also seen the benefits of me meditating as being calmer and happier has led to improved and more meaningful relationships.
I’m not a zen master who has been meditating for 20 years and I didn’t learn to meditate from a Buddhist monk in the Himalaya’s. Generally, I don’t meditate for more than 20 minutes a day and some days I still really struggle to not be distracted by my thoughts during meditation. And sometimes I still get frustrated by traffic and long ques, just not as much as I used to.


What we do
We’re trying to change some of the preconceived ideas and misconceptions around meditation and want to keep it simple, make it more approachable, accessible and less scary in the hope that more everyday people like myself will look at giving it a go and be able to experience some of the many benefits that it brings.
Our goal is to help you on your journey to wellness, where ever you are on that journey. We strive to bring you quality easy to follow and implement information, ideas and products to help you experience the benefits of meditation and improving your wellness.
Why we do it
When I first thought about trying meditation, I had a lot of preconceived ideas, stereotypes and misconceptions about it which put me off trying it for quite a while. Some of these preconceived ideas and misconceptions were only highlighted when I started looking into what meditation was and how to do it. I found a lot of information that was too far outside of my comfort zone and a bit off putting for the uninformed beginner average joe that I was.
I was just wanting to make some small and simple changes in my life in the hope I would better be able to cope with everyday life and stress. I wasn’t quite ready for all of the what I thought were “scary” extra’s like singing bowls, mantra’s or sage smudge sticks.
Putting together lots of little bits of information I found to get me started doing some basic meditation and then seeing the benefits meditation was bringing me I decided to start Senoa wellness, to make it easier for others who were interested in meditation to access simple, realistic, not to scary information that is suitable for the everyday person like myself.
